The joint effort of six Serbian companies, in partnership with the French company POMA, realized the long-standing dream of the hosts of the Zlatibor region, to transport guests by cable car through the beauties of the mountain landscapes of Zlatibor.

With great efforts, the companies “Jedinstvo” from Uzice, “Elkoms”, “Hidromontaža” and “Deling” from Belgrade, “Sidprojekt” and “Amiga” from Kraljevo, replaced the golden miracle of the Serbian beauty from the throne of the previous world champion, the Tianmenshan gondola. The length of the Chinese cable car was surpassed by domestic companies by almost two kilometers.

– It was not easy, but thanks to extremely good cooperation and great effort, the consortium overcame all challenges and carried a great burden in the realization of this project – says Mića Mićić, director of “Jedinstvo” from Užice. Teamwork, he says, will be a good recommendation for new jobs on similar projects in the country and the world.

The commissioning of the gondola was reported by well-known world media. “Wikipedia” has included a reference on its page among the main attractions of Zlatibor that it is the longest panoramic gondola on the planet.

– Previous experience in the implementation of dozens of projects in Serbia and the surrounding area, as well as the construction of the gondola Brzeće – Mali Karaman, has contributed to us being recognized as experienced partners in this project – says Slobodan Tosovic, director of “Elkoms” in charge of project documentation. feasibility study, construction of transmission lines and substations …

“Gold gondola Zlatibor” leads to 1,496 meters above sea level at the top of Tornik. The ride from the starting station in the center to the final station on Tornik, takes 25 minutes one way. The gondola can carry 600 passengers per hour in 55 cabins, while the largest capacity is 90 cabins and 1,000 tourists. The maximum driving speed is six meters per second. The investment is worth 13.5 million euros.

The construction of an intermediate station, propulsion system and a garage for 90 cabins, clearing the terrain along the route and placing 36 pillars on very inaccessible terrain, were some of the challenges for our experts.

– For “Amiga”, this is a confirmation that it can cope with the most important projects thanks to the personnel and technical equipment, licenses, certificates, references from this and other areas – says its director Miroslav Tlačinac.

Previously, they worked on the construction of the cable cars Duboka 1 and 2 on Kopaonik, the first six-seater cable cars in Serbia on Tornik, then in Nova Varoš and Divčibare, Stara planina, Montenegro near Bijelo Polje and Kolašin …

After the construction of the longest cable car in the world, the plan is to continue the project and build another branch, from the intermediate station on Ribnica Lake to the top of Čigota. After the completion of that project, domestic and foreign guests will “sail” up to 1,422 meters, to the pride of the whole of Serbia.

In the middle of the month, the gondola Brzeće – Mali Karaman was ceremoniously put into operation on Kopaonik, which will greatly relieve the traffic on Kopaonik and contribute to the development of Podkopaonica municipalities. The route of the new cable car is almost four kilometers long.
