The Board of Directors of the Women Establishment reviewed a number of programs and projects that the Foundation intends to implement during the coming period, under the directives of the consort of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint , President of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance and Chairperson Dubai Women’s Establishment and in line with the Foundation’s strategic objectives aimed at supporting women in the social and professional fields and enhancing their economic role.

This came during its third meeting for the current year and its first after the new formation, chaired by Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Chairperson and Managing Director, and the participation of Board members: Huda Al-Sayed Mohammed Al Hashemi, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, and Huda Issa Buhumaid, Chief Marketing Officer at Dubai Holding. Khawla Rashid Al Muhairi, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Government Communications Sector at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Mona Darwish Busamra, the responsible editor-in-chief of Al Bayan newspaper, Fahima Abdul Razzaq Al Bastaki, CEO of Business and Product Development at the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, Al Joud Ahmed Lootah, designer and entrepreneur, and Moza Saeed Al Marri, Executive Director of the Director General’s Office And Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, and Shamsa Saleh, member of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of the Dubai Women’s Establishment.

Her Excellency Mona Al-Marri said that the developments of the Dubai Women’s Foundation strategy 2022-2026, stemming from the strategy of the Dubai government and the next fifty-year plan in the country, were discussed, and it aims to advance Emirati women, raise the percentage of their participation in all sectors, and increase their representation in senior leadership positions and decision-making centers, which contributes to strengthening Its role in shaping the social and economic future of the Emirate of Dubai and the country in general, a translation of the vision and directives of His Highness Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai “may God protect him”.

And she announced that this new strategy will be launched next December, coinciding with Expo 2020 Dubai, among other activities of the Foundation in this major global event to keep pace with its strategic objectives.

The Board of Directors of the Dubai Women Establishment valued the constructive cooperation with the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai, of which the “Women’s Legislation Laboratory” is one of its important fruits, praising the efforts of both parties in developing and launching the “Guiding Guide for Women’s Work Remotely in the Government and Private Sectors” in cooperation with the Executive Office of the Emirate of Dubai And a number of concerned departments in the emirate with the aim of ensuring the proper application of the remote work systems approved by the employers on female employees and achieving harmony between them and the approved government strategies and policies in terms of providing a more suitable work environment for the recruitment and retention of Emirati women cadres at work by helping them achieve a balance between Job obligations and family life requirements while ensuring business continuity in emergency situations, raising the level of happiness and positivity among female employees and enhancing productivity.

A number of the foundation’s new programs were also viewed, including the executive sessions for women leaders, which it intends to organize on September 21 and 28, for a number of women leaders in the public and private sectors, in which experts and academics will lecture at the American University of Singularity, with the aim of enhancing the professional skills of working women, which contributes to raising the level of performance and productivity and developing an environment the job.

The Board of Directors was briefed on the developments of the “vocational guidance program launched by the Foundation in October of last year in cooperation with the embassies of the Nordic countries in the country under the slogan “Emirati women on the path to success”, in which 33 female employees from the government, private and semi-governmental sectors participate, and it is presented by 19 mentors and mentors from Leaders belonging to different specializations in the public and private sectors in the Nordic countries, and since its launch, witnessed one-on-one meetings via the Internet between the participating female employees and mentors, during which topics related to capacity building, self-skills development and the field of work of female employees, in addition to exchanging knowledge and experiences for the benefit of them and contributing to the advancement of their professional capabilities. The program will conclude on October 24, with the distribution of graduation certificates to them at the Kingdom of Sweden’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The meeting also reviewed the activities of the Dubai Ladies Club during the last period, which reflects its efforts to provide the best services to members and visitors through advanced facilities, with its keenness to provide a variety of cultural and social activities in addition to the events organized on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day and other community activities, including the events that were organized in This September, accompanying the campaign “Take care of your heart” on the occasion of World Heart Day.

The meeting was attended by the Dubai Women Establishment team, including Naima Ahli, Director of the Corporate Support Department, Maha Al Bastaki, Acting Director of the Dubai Ladies Club, Sultana Saif, Director of the Women’s Development Department, and Maitha Shuaib, Director of the Corporate Communications Department.
