Police in the Indian part of the disputed Kashmir region have announced that “vulnerable Indian migrant workers will be taken to army and police camps for their protection after militants killed many of them”.
“He has ordered his officers to move the workers after three workers from the eastern state of Bihar were shot in their rented accommodation on Sunday, killing two of them,” Kashmir police chief Vijay Kumar told Reuters.
He continued, “I directed the officers to urgently transfer those at risk.”
