Yesterday, the Local Administration Center at Prince Sultan University concluded a training program on “Improving the Urban Landscape of Saudi Cities”, which was held virtually for three days.
The program aims to provide participants with knowledge and skills about the concept, causes and types of visual distortions in Saudi cities, the concept and elements of typical urban design and its impact on economic vitality, attractiveness and quality of life in cities, the role of modern technologies and community participation in dealing with visual distortions and improving the urban landscape.
The program reviewed the initiatives and programs of some ministries and agencies related to urban development, municipalities and municipalities in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to improve the urban landscape. A number of successful local and international models and experiences in the field of visual distortions in cities and how to deal with and address them were presented.
Many specialists from outside the Kingdom participated in the program, with the participation of a number of people interested in improving the urban landscape and enhancing the quality of life in cities from ministries and agencies related to urban development, municipalities and municipalities in the various regions of the Kingdom.
