A North Queensland Cowboys player and a club employee allegedly committed a “sexual act” in an airport toilet despite being married.

The exceptional allegations are at the center of a complaint to the NRL Integrity Unit, which was accused by the husband of the woman concerned of failing to properly investigate the incident.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the alleged tryst has occurred in A toilet in the Qantas Lounge in mid-2018 when the cowboys returned to Townsville via Brisbane.

The husband learned of the betrayal and reportedly got angry at the club before allegedly receiving Valium from the club’s then football manager Peter Parr. Parr denies the claim.

The man was also allegedly given a false medical certificate by club doctor Chris Ball.

A letter the man’s attorney, John Sneddon, sent to the Integrity Unit last October stated that the man was given Valium “to help him cope with the shock” to investigate the matter which supposedly took place on Father’s Day.

The AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) is currently investigating a claim that Dr. Ball falsely claimed that he had consulted with the husband, but so far he has not made any adverse findings against him.

The North Queensland Cowboys made a statement on Saturday afternoon.

“The North Queensland Cowboys are aware of a number of allegations published today by the Sydney Morning Herald,” the statement said.

“The club fully supports the parties involved because their wellbeing is of the utmost importance.

“With the NRL currently investigating the allegations, it is not appropriate for the club or its related parties to provide further comments.”

Sneddon was reportedly told in early October that the incident was “progressing”, citing the AHPRA probe as the reason for the delay.

The alleged tryst at the airport led to the breakdown of the marriage between the man and the cowboy employee. A text message sent by the man to the affected player’s wife was revealed that was reportedly sent in late 2018.

„[Name removed]I know you don’t want me to text you but I don’t feel anyone but you might understand how I feel. I only found out today [his wife] is allowed to keep her job with the cowboys, ”he wrote.

“I feel so disappointed that nothing is her and [the player] After cheating on both of us this Gold Coast weekend, that’s fair. I’ve lost everything – my wife, my family. I feel so worthless after what they did, but knowing that they will still see each other at the club is so hurtful to me.

“I just can’t believe Parrie [Peter Parr] covers [the wife’s] followed and will still let them travel with the team. I have a feeling that nobody is saying anything about how we might feel about it.

“I think I should just realize that I am nobody and that I am not particularly important to anyone [his wife]who have favourited cowboys and of course [the player] Who thought my wife was his property too. I will never bother you again. I promise not to ring the doorbell or write again. I am sorry.”

In a statement to the Sydney Morning Herald The NRL Integrity Unit said the delay was due to a lack of cooperation.

“When complaints are submitted to the police or other regulatory agencies, we are careful not to interfere or interfere with these processes through our own investigations,” said an NRL spokesman

“The NRL will continue its investigation and cannot comment further.”
