- Yasmine El Tohamy - Zamalek midfielder Mohamed Ashraf Rouka has tested negative for COVID-19 following the first team’s latest round of testing, the club have announced on Monday.

Rouka has become an integral part of the Zamalek squad after returning back from his loan spells at ENPPI and El-Gaish.

He played the full 90 minutes of the Whites’ last two league games, replacing Ferjani Sassi who had contractual conflict with the Whites.

The midfielder tested positive for COVID-19 in the past week, which caused him to miss Zamalek’s 3-0 win over Tala’a El-Gaish.

Zamalek team doctor Mohamed Osama stated the player’s latest COVID-19 test returned a negative result.

He clarified that Rouka will undergo another swab test within 48 hours to make sure he has fully recovered before deciding the date of his return to training.

Since joining Zamalek from El-Gaish in August 2017, Rouka has made only 17 appearances for the Whites, scoring five goals as he sent out on loan to both ENPPI and El-Gaish.
