Dubai - Yasmine El Tohamy - Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has showered veteran Walid Soliman with praise, wishing he could coach him he was younger.
The Reds moved top of the table following an easy 4-1 victory over Entag El-Harby in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

“He doesn’t get upset and never complains when he is benched.
“I respect Walid Soliman so much and I appreciate him. He is an example for the young players on how to score goals. He scores in an unbelievable ways. Magical player.
“It’s unfortunate that I have discovered him very late. I wish I came to Egypt a few years ago so that I can coach Walid Soliman when he was younger,” Pitso added.
Under Pitso Mosimane, Walid Soliman has scored seven goals and provided one assist in 10 games, starting just five games and completing 90 minutes only once.
Walid Soliman has arrived at Al Ahly in August 2011 from ENPPI and is considered by the Reds’ fans as the club’s best signing in the past decade.
Walid has made over 260 appearances for the club, scoring 66 goals while providing 47 assists, guiding the team to three CAF Champions Leagues.
He also lifted six league titles with the Cairo giants, two Egypt Cups, five Super Cups, two CAF Super Cups, and the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup.
On the international level, Soliman has 28 caps to his name, scoring just once, winning the 2007 Pan Arab Games and the 2011 Nile Basin tournament with the Pharaohs.
