Thank you for reading the news about Al Ahli refuse to disclose interest in Zamalek’s El-Wensh and now with the details
Dubai - Yasmine El Tohamy - Saudi giants Al Ahli have refused to discuss whether or not they will make an offer to sign Zamalek center-back Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh.
Since the departure of the former board led by Mortada Mansour, many players have been rumored to leave the White Castle.
This includes many household names such as Ferjani Sassi and Mostafa Mohamed who will very likely leave the club this transfer window.
Now, El-Wensh joined the list of players rumored to leave the club, with Saudi Professional League side Al Ahli reportedly interested in signing him.
According to several local reports, The Royal have submitted an offer to sign the 25-year-old from Zamalek. The club already discussed the matter and assured that he won’t leave.

Al Ahli president, Abdelelah Mouminah, also talked about the matter but refused to give any information about their transfer window plans when asked about El-Wensh and Olympique Lyonnais’ Djamel Benlamri.
“Our focus now is to perform well in order to please the fans,” Mouminah said.
“We’re currently studying our options for the current transfer window and we hope that whatever happens will be in favor of the team.

Al Ahli currently sit third on the league table with 22 points, three behind leader Al Hilal. They have lost their previous two games and will hope to return to winning games when they host the latter next Friday January 15th.
El-Wensh slowly asserted his dominance in Zamalek’s defense since joining them in 2016 coming from Tala’a El-Gaish.
In his four years inside the White Castle, he made nearly 150 appearances and lifted six official trophies including two Egypt Cups, two Egyptian Super Cups, the CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Super Cup.
