Lenovo Launches Yoga Slim Carbon i7, Its Lightest Notebook Yet –...

Millennials and the work-from-home generation want lightweight, chic and durability rolled into one – and Lenovo believes that this market will be entered with the introduction of the Yoga Slim Carbon i7.

At just 966 g, the Carbon i7 is Lenovo’s lightest notebook to date.

The ultra-slim 14.25mm laptop is 47% lighter and 25% more durable than previous Yoga devices and has all of the benefits you can expect from Lenovo.

At 13.3 inches and a 16:10 display, the i7 has three USB ports and is equipped with a 50 W lithium battery and a charger in the box. After 800 charge cycles, this device will retain an incredible 80 percent charge capacity, according to Lenovo.

According to Peter Yeung, executive director and general manager of Lenovo APAC, the Carbon i7 is specifically designed for users who are “digital native” users.

“It’s a premium experience for the emerging digital native and smarter technology for everyone,” says Yeung.

“The Lenovo Yoga Slim Carbon i7 is light as a feather, durable and the best of both worlds. We are committed to ensuring that every yoga user is able to achieve more in a life of a smarter life. ”

As an extension of the innovation program of Project Athena, Lenovo and Intel are again working together on the new Intel Evo ™ platform with the Carbon i7.

The moon-white color is stunning and the machine itself is built with aero carbon fiber for weight and durability. According to Lenovo, the notebook has three layers of thermally heated coating and has passed nine military-grade durability tests during development.

According to Lenovo, the Carbon i7 is available in two sizes (8 GB and 16 GB). It offers 15 hours of battery life for video playback or 12 hours for all-day office activities, 20% faster CPU performance, 40 Gbps speed, and the use of military-grade thermal technology to detect temperature and usage patterns.

Lenovo says users get two hours of battery after just 15 minutes of charging.

It also has some other great features like built-in Amazon Alexa, flip-to-boot technology, Q-Control intelligent cooling, and Face ID.

For the remote workstations, the Carbon i7 also offers some other fancy features such as posture notifications, eye care mode and an anti-glare display that helps users in front of the screen during those long days.

As with all yoga devices, the audio is powered by Dolby and the screen is Dolby Vision.

The Yoga Slim Carbon i7 has a starting price of $ 1,799 and will be available in Australia in December.
